He was born in Victoria, travelled 2,800km to work with Triple M in Cairns, and has just racked up another 1,600km to take up the microphone at Triple M Brisbane. Meet David Nash!
Triple M Brisbane Content Director Rex Morris has welcomed David Nash to the station for the duel Announcer/Operations role.
Originally hailing from Broadford in Victoria, David is making the move to Brisbane from Triple M Cairns where he has been working as Announcer/Operations for over 2 years. Like many in the industry, he kicked off his radio career in community radio, commentating the local AFL, before getting a paid gig as a panel operator at 96.9 Star FM in Shepparton.
David is a keen footy fan (both Rugby League & AFL) and has a strong rock music heritage, harking all the way back to his first ever high school rock band – called ‘The Scream Queens’. He’s got some other mad skills as well - prior to starting a career in radio, he worked as a ring announcer and commentator for professional wrestling in Melbourne!
David has spent some time in Brisbane previously and reckons he’s got a good handle on the city’s cultural scene having experienced gigs at the Entertainment Centre & Riverstage as well as checking out a game at Suncorp (and having a cheeky brew or two on Caxton Street).
Content Director, Rex Morris, reckons ‘Nashy’ will fit in just fine!
