2TM’s extensive coverage of the 53rd Tamworth Country Music Festival 

2TM will once again this year be front and centre at the Tamworth Country Music festival which attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the Tamworth region this month.  2TM began The Tamworth Country Music Festival in 1973, and has been firmly rooted in the annual event, now in its 53rd year.  

The 2TM broadcast team of Sharnae Birkett, Dan Saunders and Job Wolfe will host live on-air interviews every half hour with over 160 artists live in the 2TM studios over the ten days of the festival.  Listeners can tune into 1287 on the AM Dial and listen to their favourite and upcoming artists chat about their careers, live performances in Tamworth and performing acoustic versions of their greatest hits live in the studio.

Saturday January 25th the 2TM Discovered finalist concert is being held on the JB Hi-Fi stage at Centrepoint Tamworth.  Hosted by 2TM Breakfast host Sharnae Birkett, the five finalists Alice Benfer, Cody Walker, Lily-Grace Grant, Darren Gillis and Coral Renee will perform two songs each in front of a capacity crowd and in front of the esteemed 2TM Discovered judges Taylor Moss, Jimbo Stokes and Zac & George. 

2TM’s coverage of the Toyota Tamworth Country Music Festival will culminate with Sharnae Birkett, Dan Saunders and Jon Wolfe reporting on the red carpet and backstage broadcasting live from the CMAA Toyota Golden Guitar awards, the biggest night of the year for the Australian country music industry. 

2TM will broadcast live artist interviews with all Golden Guitar winners, minutes after receiving their coveted Golden Guitar awards.

And it doesn’t stop there, the 2TM Street Team will be out and about as well, emceeing multiple shows including Toyota Fanzone in the main street, the CMAA Senior Academy Concert, The Riverside Camp Grounds, The Pub’s Charity Concert for Ronald McDonald House, The Remembering Reg Lindsay Concert, The Melissa Bajric Concert and Moonshiners just to name a few.
