After 24 years Ash Wright leaves Sonshine Media

3 February 2023

After 24 years of serving Sonshine Media in Perth as Broadcast and Tech Director, as well as using his skills to assist many other stations around Australia, Ash Wright has accepted the role of Senior Software Developer with global media engagement software group Broadcast Bionics.

For many years Ash has been developing cutting edge IT solutions, to integrate with broadcast engineering and make listener and user engagement easier and less costly for Sonshine 98.5, and many other community stations and not-for-profits around Australia.

This includes the ‘Profiler’ Client and Information Management System, which is widely used by many of Australia’s NFP’s.

Sonshine’s CEO Bevan Jones says,  “While half of me was panicking to lose such a key person in our organisation, the other half was proud that Ash has been pushing himself to take on bigger challenges.

“In fact I would have been upset with him if he didn’t take the global opportunity this role with Broadcast Bionics presents him. Thankfully for us, Ash has been training and equipping others in our organisation to take up his responsibilities.
