We’re looking for a utility player to help take our stations to a new level!
Coastal Broadcasters are looking for a hands-on multi-skilled team player who can announce and/or produce across all facets of our stations. In this role, you’ll do both.
Working out of our Innisfail studios, the ideal candidate will have on-air experience, excellent writing skills and the ability to produce audio content under tight deadlines.
As a Coastal Broadcasters Announcer/Producer, you’ll:
- Announce and VT across our stations as required.
- Co-ordinate scripting and voice tracking of local news.
- Assist our Breakfast shows with audio content pre-planning and production.
- Produce imaging and promotional audio as required by CD and GM.
- Source and record audio as directed for station commercial and promotional use.
- Identify opportunities for content.
Baseline experience:
- a minimum of around 1-2 years’ experience in either an announcing or producing role.
- A basic understanding of the radio industry, station departments and processes.
- An understanding of Coastal Broadcasters and the ability to support the commercial success of its stations.
- the proven ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
- Competent understanding of playout systems, audio editing software such as Adobe Audition and how basic broadcast equipment works.
- Knowledge of the Commercial Radio Australia Codes of Practice.
