Another SCA Redundancy

Tim Lordan, Mix 94.5 Perth afternoon announcer (12-3) and Assistant Content Director has been made redundant.

Tim told JJ: “I feel like we lowly workday announcers (and “behind the scenes” Content people) sometimes get overlooked in the world of radio news. So I’m just letting you know that – amongst the recent SCA redundancies around the country – was little ol’ me, Tim Lordan. My role of Afternoon announcer (12-3) and Assistant Content Director, here at Mix94.5 Perth, officially wrapped up about a week ago.”

I’ve been with SCA for 15 years. Over 12 of those here in my hometown of Perth. If you include my time on the Gold Coast and with the SeaFM network PRIOR to the Austereo merger, I guess – in a way – I’ve been with what is now SCA for most of my career. Wow.

It’s been an amazing ride, doing every Content role imaginable: from workday jock, breakfast anchor, and one half of a Network Drive duo – to Music Director, Breakfast EP, Assistant CD, and CD.

Tim says he’s taking a break at the moment and has decided to extend his European holiday but will soon be on the lookout for whatever the next adventure will be.
