The Australian Podcast Ranker for September has been released by Commercial Radio and Audio (CRA) and Triton Digital. The No 1 Podcast this survey is once again Hamish & Andy (LiSTNR – SCA) with 813,500 monthly listeners. ABC News Top Stories (ABC) was in second place with 767,032 monthly listeners and in third place Mamamia Out Loud (Mamamia) with 563,785 monthly listeners. Wayne Browne – a well known Australian talk radio producer – has died following a short hospital stay. He passed away on February 7.
SCA has announced a series of senior national content appointments across the Hit Network. Ellie Angel-Mobbs (pictured) has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Operations & Announcer. Tim Lee has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Creative & Announcer. Kiri Martin has been promoted to HIT Network Senior Music Director / Event Partnerships & 2DayFM Assistant Content Director.
Nova has confirmed a major national realignment of its on-air lineup. Beginning on Monday February 9, Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie will move out of Sydney Breakfast and into national Drive. Under the new structure, the Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell show will take over Breakfast, replacing the current Fitzy & Wippa and Kate Ritchie team, while Joel Creasey is expected to shift into a full-time role at Nova Perth, leaving the Sydney show.
