Brooke Departs Breakfast

Radio 97 Gold Coast/Tweed Heads breakfast co-host Brooke Marsden has moved on. She told JJ: “I’ve decided to leave the 97 breakfast show. It’s been my baby for almost 4 years but Harry and I are desperate to travel so I’ll be heading to Europe very soon! My last show was on Friday January 31 – but I’m excited for this new chapter.”

RIP Wayne Browne

Wayne Browne – a well known Australian talk radio producer – has died following a short hospital stay. He passed away on February 7.

SCA Announces New Appointments

SCA has announced a series of senior national content appointments across the Hit Network. Ellie Angel-Mobbs (pictured) has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Operations & Announcer. Tim Lee has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Creative & Announcer. Kiri Martin has been promoted to HIT Network Senior Music Director / Event Partnerships & 2DayFM Assistant Content Director.

Nova’s New Changes

Nova has confirmed a major national realignment of its on-air lineup. Beginning on Monday February 9, Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie will move out of Sydney Breakfast and into national Drive. Under the new structure, the Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell show will take over Breakfast, replacing the current Fitzy & Wippa and Kate Ritchie team, while Joel Creasey is expected to shift into a full-time role at Nova Perth, leaving the Sydney show.
