CBAA Awards Finalists

The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) is revealing its Awards finalists across five days this week with the winners announced at the end of the CBAA Conference on the Gold Coast, at a gala dinner to be held on Saturday October 19.

The finalists announced so far are:

The great Johnny Young has died aged 79 following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was involved in all aspects of show business as a singer/songwriter as well as a radio/TV host. 102.9 Triple M was the clear winner in the latest GfK Newcastle Survey (2/2026) with a share of 25.6 (+1.4). Next came Hit 106.9 with 16.2% (+0.6) followed by triple j with 9.9% (-1.0) just ahead of 105.3 NEW FM with 9.6% (-0.4).

RadioAnalyzer Announce Australian Launch

SCA and RadioAnalyzer believe that Australian radio listeners can look forward to even better shows and music formatting. A deal has been reached this week between Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) and Danish analytics company, RadioAnalyzer. Over the next few years, SCA will be using the RadioAnalyzer tools to enhance both music selection and spoken-word on-air content.
