SCA Chief Content Officer Dave Cameron, is leaving the network company. He’s been with SCA for more than 30 years after beginning his time as an announcer.
SCA is assessing the future requirements of the chief content officer role and will start a recruitment process later in 2025. Matthew O’Reilly will take on the expanded role of head of broadcast content, reporting directly to CEO John Kelly.
Sydney community radio station 2SER has told volunteers it could close by July this year after Macquarie University said it would end its funding of the station last year. In an email to station volunteers seen by 702 ABC Sydney, 2SER station manager Cheryl Northey said the station understood UTS could not fund the station on its own.

In the first GfK Canberra Survey for 2026, MIX 106.3 was once again the top rating station with a share of 22.8% (+0.6). Next came Hit 104.7 with 13.3% (-0.6) closely followed by ABC Canberra with 13.1% (+1.3). In fourth place was 2CA with 7.7% (+3.4). ABC Canberra was No 1 in breakfast (+4.7). 2RN dropped 8.3% in breakfast. ABC Canberra were also up 10.6% in evening.
