In the latest GfK Radio 360 Metro Radio Survey (#4), smooth FM was once again the No 1 station in Sydney with a share of 13.4% (-0.3). 3AW continues as the No 1 station in Melbourne with a share of 14.2% (+0.2). B105 is the new No 1 in Brisbane with 12.0% (+0.3). Triple M is still the top rating station in Adelaide with 14.5% (+1.2). In Perth, Nova 93.7 is No 1 with 16.7% (+1.8). Dan Taylor, former Hit100.9 breakfast host, has joined ABC Northern Tasmania. This appointment is less than two months after SCA axed the Dan & Christie breakfast show.
HOT Tomato was once again the top rating station with a share of 19.5% (-2.2) in the latest GfK Radio 360: Gold Coast/Tweed Survey. Next came 92.5 Triple M Gold with 15.6% (+1.7) then 90.9 SEA FM with 9.9% (1.0). They were followed by ABC Gold Coast with 7.1% (+2.6).
Commercial Radio & Audio (CRA) has welcomed today’s announcement by the Minister for Communications, The Hon Anika Wells MP, of the Albanese Government’s intention to table legislation supporting the sustainability of commercial, community and national broadcasting. The proposed reforms include a prominence framework to ensure Australian radio services remain easy to find on smart speakers and will reduce the regulatory burden for regional and remote commercial broadcasters to drive investment into the sector.
