In the final GfK Radio 360 Metro Radio Survey for 2025 (#8), smooth FM is now the No 1 station in Sydney with a share of 13% (+1.6). They surpassed 2GB – now 11.2% (-2.6). 3AW continues as the No 1 station in Melbourne with a share of 13.9% (-0.8). Triple M remains No 1 in Brisbane with 12.1% (+0.2) and in Adelaide, 5MMM is once again the top rating station with 13.9% (-0.4). In Perth, Nova 93.7 is again No 1 this survey with 15.4% (-0.6). SCA has announced a series of senior national content appointments across the Hit Network. Ellie Angel-Mobbs (pictured) has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Operations & Announcer. Tim Lee has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Creative & Announcer. Kiri Martin has been promoted to HIT Network Senior Music Director / Event Partnerships & 2DayFM Assistant Content Director.
Nova has confirmed a major national realignment of its on-air lineup. Beginning on Monday February 9, Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie will move out of Sydney Breakfast and into national Drive. Under the new structure, the Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell show will take over Breakfast, replacing the current Fitzy & Wippa and Kate Ritchie team, while Joel Creasey is expected to shift into a full-time role at Nova Perth, leaving the Sydney show.
Brisbane’s own long-standing Christian radio station 96.5, has unveiled its new name and brand identity: Rise 96.5. The station was birthed in Brisbane on the FM dial almost 30 years ago. (on air team pictured above)
