Michael Jones, a long time General Manager of Radio Canberra with the Capital Radio Network, has been made redundant. He was the station’s General Manager for 16 years. In other Capital Radio Network news, Ray Kington, GM of the Goulburn radio stations, recently retired.

CEO Rick Lenarcic said: “Capital Radio Group has been reviewing the structure of the business to ensure we are well positioned to support our digital, streaming & technical strategies, while also driving future revenue and content growth.

With the recent resignation of Ray Kington – the Goulburn GM,  we have made the decision to create a new role, Group General Manager, Canberra and Goulburn, which will better align our leadership structure with the future needs of the business.

This has resulted in Michael Jones accepting a redundancy and finishing with Capital Radio this Friday the 14th August. We thank Michael for his significant contribution to the business and wish him every success in the future.”
