After nearly eight years working with his mental fitness charity Gotcha4Life, Gus Worland has decided to leave radio and focus on his mental health advocacy full-time. Worland’s final show on Triple M will air at the end of the year, and it is not yet known who will replace him on the network.
In a statement on Monday, Worland – thanked his colleagues and behind-the-scenes staff as he confirmed his exit.
‘From my early days with Matty Johns, Mark Geyer, and Chris Page, to my current team with Jude Bolton and Aaron Woods, I’ve been lucky to work with some amazing people,‘ he said.
‘I’m especially grateful to the team who’ve worked tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the shows going.’
While he will be stepping away from his daily role at Triple M , he assures fans that he won’t be a stranger and will appear as a guest on shows in the future.
Matthew O’Reilly, Head of Triple M Metro Content, praised Worland’s contributions during his 16 years with the network, stating: ‘Gus has been an integral part of the Triple M family for 16 years.
