Hit94.7 continues to dominate in Emerald: Xtra Insights

The latest Xtra Insights Survey for Emerald has shown Southern Cross Austereo’s Hit94.7 continues to grow with the station up 3.2 to 42.8 for all audiences 10+. This is the first Emerald survey since August 2021.

In November 2022 Hit94.7’s breakfast presenter Guy “Cliffo” Clifton had his long-time on-air partner Gabi Elgood move back to her hometown of Canberra and Mix 106.3, with Bronte Langbroek doing the opposite, leaving the ACT and Mix to partner Cliffo. The change is working with the Hit Queensland breakfast show up 3.1 to 43.1, ABC Capricornia a long way behind at 15.8 (down 0.9).

ABC Capricornia only lost ground in breakfast. This survey was the first to include people aged 65+, with ABC Capricornia 54.8 for that demographic.

4HI was mostly steady with a +1.4 increase across all age groups. 4HI, ABC Capricornia, ABC RN and Hit in particular all saw cumulative gains.

Wayne Browne – a well known Australian talk radio producer – has died following a short hospital stay. He passed away on February 7.
