Jade McDonald is now officially the host of ARN station Star 106.3 Afternoons in Townsville. In recent months she has been filling in on afternoons.
Jade is also a longtime volunteer presenter at community radio station Triple T and has been the Administration and Sales Coordinator for Star106.3, Power 100 and KIX Country.
Mike Byrne has left the Super Radio Network. He was the Network Content Director a role he took on in January this year.
In the first GfK Canberra Survey for 2026, MIX 106.3 was once again the top rating station with a share of 22.8% (+0.6). Next came Hit 104.7 with 13.3% (-0.6) closely followed by ABC Canberra with 13.1% (+1.3). In fourth place was 2CA with 7.7% (+3.4). ABC Canberra was No 1 in breakfast (+4.7). 2RN dropped 8.3% in breakfast. ABC Canberra were also up 10.6% in evening.
On Easter Saturday April 4, ABC Radio Overnights presenter Michael Pavlich made an announcement concerning the future of the ABC overnights program.
