FIVEAA Adelaide radio host Jade Robran was forced to leave her breakfast show mid-air after receiving the news of her grandpa’s death. Jade co-hosts FIVEAA’s Winter Breakfast show with Tom Rehn. She started work Wednesday morning before abruptly leaving the studio around 7am. It later emerged Jade’s uncle, SA football legend Barrie Robran, had died aged 77
.
Barrie, who played 201 games for North Adelaide from 1967 until 1980, is considered one of South Australia’s greatest ever footballers, having played in the SANFL. Barrie, who won the Magarey Medal three times during his career, has a statue at Adelaide Oval in his honour.
KIIS banned from airing strong sexual content
Kiis FM could face cancellation of its radio station licence if ban breached, regulator says. The Guardian reports: Any Kiis FM radio program hosted by Kyle Sandilands and or Jackie “O” Henderson must not air strong sexual content for the next five years or ARN Media could face penalties as serious as the cancellation of the radio station’s licence.
