After five years presenting Melbourne breakfast news on Triple M and The FOX, James Lake has been named SCA’s National News Operations Manager.
He’s had over 15 years’ experience in commercial broadcasting. In recent years his primary focus has been mastering the delivery of network news integration with live AFL, NRL and Cricket for Southern Cross Austereo. He has also contributed to the coverage of two Olympic Games, in London and Rio.
In the third 2025 GfK Radio 360 Metro Radio Survey (#3), 2GB was No 1 in Sydney with a share of 13.6% (+0.8). In Melbourne 3AW continued their reign at No 1 with 12.5% (-1.6). Triple M is still No 1 in Brisbane with 12.8% (-0.1). In Adelaide, MIX 102.3 was the top rating station with 14.4% (+0.4) and in Perth, 96FM is now the No 1 station with 17.9% (+1.9).
