Ballina | Part-Time Contract Position | ABN Required
Paradise FM 101.9 is celebrating 25 years of entertaining and informative community broadcasting. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative Production Co-ordinator to help shape the station’s future.
Based in the heart of the fast-growing Ballina and Northern Rivers community, Paradise FM is a trusted local voice, connecting listeners with great music, local stories, community events, news and information.
We’re seeking someone with radio production experience who can bring fresh ideas, energy and technical know-how to our station.
This is initially a 12-month contract position with flexible part-time hours. Applicants will need an ABN and the ability to work independently while supporting our dedicated team of volunteers.
The role includes:
- Producing and editing local content, interviews and station promotions
- Creating and recording sponsorship announcements and advertisements
- Managing audio content within our broadcast systems
- Supporting day-to-day station operations
- Assisting and mentoring volunteer presenters
- Helping ensure Paradise FM remains relevant, engaging and connected to the community
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience in radio broadcasting, production or media
- Strong audio editing and organisational skills
- Knowledge of broadcast systems such as RCS Zetta, G-Selector and Adobe Audition (or the ability to learn quickly)
- A passion for community media and local storytelling
- The ability to work collaboratively with volunteers and presenters
An interest in on-air presenting would be a distinct advantage. This role offers the opportunity to contribute both behind the scenes and on-air, making it ideal for someone looking to broaden their broadcasting experience.
The position could suit an emerging broadcaster keen to develop their skills, or an experienced radio professional seeking a sea change to one of Australia’s most desirable coastal regions while remaining active in the industry.
If you’re passionate about local media, community engagement and great radio, we’d love to hear from you.
To apply, send your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and what you would bring to Paradise FM to:
