Leadership Change at 92.7 MIXFM and 91.9 SEAFM

Sunshine Coast Broadcasters has announced a leadership transition at 92.7 Mix FM and 91.9 Sea FM, with Caroline Hutchinson OAM appointed as the group’s new Managing Director, effective immediately. The appointment follows the decision of Carla Vella, who has led Sunshine Coast Broadcasters as Managing Director for the past year to step back from her duties.

Under Carla’s leadership, Mix FM and Sea FM reclaimed their positions as the number one and two stations in the Sunshine Coast market- reflecting her strategic vision and deep commitment to the group’s people and its audience.

Among Carla’s many accomplishments, the launch of the uniquely local streaming and podcast service Listen Sunny Coast, a lasting legacy and significant milestone in the stations’ digital future.

Board Director Rhys Holleran said Carla had left an indelible mark on Mix FM and Sea FM, and that the foundations she laid would continue to shape the stations long into the future. Carla will conclude her employment in early June and has agree to assist in the changeover to new leadership.

Carla Vella commented  “It has been a privilege to lead Mix FM and Sea FM and to work alongside such a passionate and committed team. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together. Strengthening our connection with the Sunshine Coast community, returning both stations to market leadership, and launching Listen Sunny Coast as a platform for the future. I leave knowing the business is well positioned for its next chapter, and I’m equally looking forward to what comes next. I wish Caroline and the team every continued success.”
