ARN has appointed Michael Stephenson as chief operating officer, responsible for leading the company’s commercial strategy and operations. The former Channel Nine boss will join ARN as chief operating officer in the first quarter of 2025.
He has had more than 30 years in senior sales roles in TV, most recently at Nine where he was chief sales officer for nearly a decade.
Mike Byrne has left the Super Radio Network. He was the Network Content Director a role he took on in January this year.
In the first GfK Canberra Survey for 2026, MIX 106.3 was once again the top rating station with a share of 22.8% (+0.6). Next came Hit 104.7 with 13.3% (-0.6) closely followed by ABC Canberra with 13.1% (+1.3). In fourth place was 2CA with 7.7% (+3.4). ABC Canberra was No 1 in breakfast (+4.7). 2RN dropped 8.3% in breakfast. ABC Canberra were also up 10.6% in evening.
On Easter Saturday April 4, ABC Radio Overnights presenter Michael Pavlich made an announcement concerning the future of the ABC overnights program.
