Michelle Murphy Joins ACE

ACE Radio will be the new home of Michelle Murphy. After ten years at Adelaide’s Mix 102.3, Michelle has finished up as the ARN station’s daytime announcer, after her position was made redundant.

From Monday January 19, Michelle will host weekdays 1pm to 3pm on Brisbane’s 4BH, Sydney’s 2UE and Melbourne’s Magic 1278.

Jon Vertigan Ace Radio Head of Content – Radio, said “Michelle is a such a unique talent that we couldn’t leave off the air. When I listen to her she is talking just to me, her connection with the listener is incredible. We can’t wait to have her spinning the Classic Hits with us from Monday.”

Super Radio Network Departures

Mike Byrne has left the Super Radio Network. He was the Network Content Director a role he took on in January this year.

GfK Radio Ratings Canberra Survey 1, 2026

In the first GfK Canberra Survey for 2026, MIX 106.3 was once again the top rating station with a share of 22.8% (+0.6). Next came Hit 104.7 with 13.3% (-0.6) closely followed by ABC Canberra with 13.1% (+1.3). In fourth place was 2CA with 7.7% (+3.4). ABC Canberra was No 1 in breakfast (+4.7). 2RN dropped 8.3% in breakfast. ABC Canberra were also up 10.6% in evening.

ABC Radio Overnight Changes

On Easter Saturday April 4, ABC Radio Overnights presenter Michael Pavlich made an announcement concerning the future of the ABC overnights program.
