Mike O’Loughlin Retires From Tasmania Talks

After 50 years in radio, the last two years with Tasmania Talks, ACRA award winning host Mike O’Loughlin is stepping away due to health reasons. Tasmania Talks is heard on LAFM, 7ADFM, 7BUFM, 7XS and 7SDFM. He will be wrapping up this week for the year and will be back in late January.  Hear Mike’s farewell message in regard to his health update and his thank you.

  3. Lock-O was instrumental in me getting my job at 3XY in the early 80’s, putting me in touch with then PD Gary Suprain, a favour for which i’m eternally grateful to Mike for. We also had loads of fun when i was lucky to have worked by his side in Bendigo at 3BO. Thanks Mike, you are always “SUPER-JOCK” to me.

  4. I’m devastated for Mike and I’m devastated for me. I’ve only been in Tasmania for less than two years and miss my family and friends so much however listening to Mike in the mornings always lifted my spirits. Words can’t express how much I’m going to miss you Mike. I wish you all the very best with your health. You’d better be back!!

Nova’s New Changes

Nova has confirmed a major national realignment of its on-air lineup. Beginning on Monday February 9, Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie will move out of Sydney Breakfast and into national Drive. Under the new structure, the Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell show will take over Breakfast, replacing the current Fitzy & Wippa and Kate Ritchie team, while Joel Creasey is expected to shift into a full-time role at Nova Perth, leaving the Sydney show.
