Mike Parry makes his final Drive Stop

6IX announcer Mike Parry has decided to semi retire after more than 40 years in radio.

Parry, who was born in Subiaco has lived in Perth his whole life.  He commenced in radio in 1984 as a carting boy at 6KY Perth before moving to 6AM Northam to host afternoons.

His other WA stints includes 6MM and Coast FM Mandurah as well as 96FM, REDFM and WAFM.  Mike has been at 6iX since 2016.

In the first GfK Canberra Survey for 2026, MIX 106.3 was once again the top rating station with a share of 22.8% (+0.6). Next came Hit 104.7 with 13.3% (-0.6) closely followed by ABC Canberra with 13.1% (+1.3). In fourth place was 2CA with 7.7% (+3.4). ABC Canberra was No 1 in breakfast (+4.7). 2RN dropped 8.3% in breakfast. ABC Canberra were also up 10.6% in evening.
