New Journalist Joins 2TM & 92.9FM Tamworth

2TM and 92.9 Tamworth are very excited to announce the return of Jon Wolfe to the team in his capacity of Journalist. A local Tamworth man, Jon brings with him, over 30 years of local knowledge, connections and experience.

Jon says: “I’m really pleased to be working with the 2TM/92.9FM team as the News journalist and it’s like a welcome home, having joined the 2TM Hoedown team over 30 years ago when I moved from ABC Radio in Perth.

“I’m sure listeners will appreciate our dedication to presenting the best regional news service possible and I’m looking forward to being part of the Super Radio Network.”

Jon will present over 30 local news bulletins each week on 2TM, 92.9FM and both station websites.

Jon brings along with him, 12 years’ experience at 88.9fm as the Regional News Journalist, 4 years as Sub-Editor at the Northern Daily Leader and 3 years as Editor of the Tamworth City News. Jon is also on the board of the CMAA.

SCA Announces New Appointments

SCA has announced a series of senior national content appointments across the Hit Network. Ellie Angel-Mobbs (pictured) has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Operations & Announcer. Tim Lee has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Creative & Announcer. Kiri Martin has been promoted to HIT Network Senior Music Director / Event Partnerships & 2DayFM Assistant Content Director.

Nova’s New Changes

Nova has confirmed a major national realignment of its on-air lineup. Beginning on Monday February 9, Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie will move out of Sydney Breakfast and into national Drive. Under the new structure, the Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell show will take over Breakfast, replacing the current Fitzy & Wippa and Kate Ritchie team, while Joel Creasey is expected to shift into a full-time role at Nova Perth, leaving the Sydney show.

Brisbane’s own long-standing Christian radio station 96.5, has unveiled its new name and brand identity: Rise 96.5. The station was birthed in Brisbane on the FM dial almost 30 years ago. (on air team pictured above)
