Nigel Slater Joins SUN 969

On October 1, Nigel Slater joined SUN 969 Alice Springs as an announcer/all rounder.

Nigel is certainly an all rounder and has worked in radio for over 30 years. He started paid radio work over 30 years ago at 3MP Frankston as an automation supervisor and around the same time started Melbourne dance community radio station KISS FM. Before entering commercial radio he started in community radio as a volunteer over 34 years ago at Inner FM Heidelberg in 1990.

He’s had numerous roles in other stations including: Australian Radio Network (Formerly Grant Broadcasters) – Traffic Manager, Sports Entertainment Network Melbourne – Panel Operator/Producer, RSN Melbourne – Traffic Manager, 3AW Melbourne – Producer and Panel Operator, ACE Radio Traralgon – Senior Creative Writer, Spirit Radio/WAFM Port Hedland – Station Manager, 987 FM Alice Springs – Station Manager, 8CCC Alice Springs/Tennant Creek – Station Manager, and 3AW/Magic 693 Melbourne – Dubbing/Carting.

Nova’s New Changes

Nova has confirmed a major national realignment of its on-air lineup. Beginning on Monday February 9, Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie will move out of Sydney Breakfast and into national Drive. Under the new structure, the Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell show will take over Breakfast, replacing the current Fitzy & Wippa and Kate Ritchie team, while Joel Creasey is expected to shift into a full-time role at Nova Perth, leaving the Sydney show.
