Peter Hale Back On 6IX

Peter Hale began in radio when he left school at 6IX as a trainee announcer and Production assistant. Now (53 years later) he is back on 6IX. “I think radio is in my DNA. I have never left it”. Over the years, Peter has worked at several Perth stations including 6PR, 6KY (now 94.5FM), 6IX, Heritage FM, and Curtin FM along with many regional stations and adds “I have always loved working on my craft” .

SCA Announces New Appointments

SCA has announced a series of senior national content appointments across the Hit Network. Ellie Angel-Mobbs (pictured) has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Operations & Announcer. Tim Lee has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Creative & Announcer. Kiri Martin has been promoted to HIT Network Senior Music Director / Event Partnerships & 2DayFM Assistant Content Director.

Nova’s New Changes

Nova has confirmed a major national realignment of its on-air lineup. Beginning on Monday February 9, Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie will move out of Sydney Breakfast and into national Drive. Under the new structure, the Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell show will take over Breakfast, replacing the current Fitzy & Wippa and Kate Ritchie team, while Joel Creasey is expected to shift into a full-time role at Nova Perth, leaving the Sydney show.

Brisbane’s own long-standing Christian radio station 96.5, has unveiled its new name and brand identity: Rise 96.5. The station was birthed in Brisbane on the FM dial almost 30 years ago. (on air team pictured above)
