rise 96.5 – Same sound. Same heart. Same hope. New name.

Brisbane’s own long-standing Christian radio station 96.5, has unveiled its new name and brand identity: Rise 96.5. The station was birthed in Brisbane on the FM dial almost 30 years ago. Rise 96.5 builds on that legacy with a name that captures the heart and purpose of the station; love and uplift people, explore faith and hope, and engage listeners right where they are with an experience of God’s love. Rise 96.5 CEO Phillip Randall says… “This is not the launch of a new station, but the next chapter of the one Brisbane already knows and loves. RISE speaks to hope, resilience and faith. It reflects what we see God doing in people’s lives every day, and what we’re called to nurture through media and our relationship with Brisbane.” The rebrand follows a season of listening, reflection, and planning involving board, staff, and key stakeholders, ensuring the station’s future remains deeply connected to its audience and purpose. This step coincides with the station securing its first permanent home at 6 Moorak Street Taringa in 2025. While the station’s name and visual identity have been refreshed, listeners can expect the same commitment to uplifting music, meaningful conversations, and strong support of local families, churches, causes and community organisations.

Phillip added “Our heart hasn’t changed. Rise 96.5 exists to engage people with experiences of God’s love — and this name gives us language that clearly expresses who we are and why we’re here.”

Listeners can tune in on 96.5 FM, Rise 96.5 on DAB+, stream online at www.rise965.com, or via the Rise 96.5 mobile app.
