SCA has axed threes shows on the Triple M and Hit Network, as part of a cost cutting exercise that will see between 250 and 300 job losses within the company. (Source: Mumbrella). Among the breakfast show casualties were the Hit Network’s Bronte and Lakey breakfast show, anchored by Bronte Langbroek and Danny Lakey (pictured). The show recorded from Sea FM’s Gold Coast studio, and was simulcast across regional Queensland.

Hit 100.9 Hobart’s breakfast duo Dan Taylor and Christie Hayes also wrapped up. The show was broadcast across regional Victoria and Tasmania. Triple M WA’s breakfast show Robbie and Carly, networked across regional WA, was also axed.

According to Wade Kingsley’s The Quarter Hour podcast, Hit 106.9 Newcastle’s breakfast duo Jess Farchione and Rohan Edwards will be networked across regional NSW, while Michael Ross and Angie Ayers from Triple M Southwest (broadcasting out of Bunbury) will expand their breakfast show across Western Australia.

The management structure has also been simplified. Current Newcastle group content director Jase Allen will become head of the entire Hit regional network, while SCA’s Tasmanian content director Phill Bradley will become head of Triple M regional.

Blair Woodcock, SCA’s current head of regional content and Gold Coast general manager, will become Gold Coast general manager and content director.
