‘Strawny’ To Take A Break

Alex ‘Strawny’ Strachan has wrapped up his final shift, as he departs his role on Triple M Mid North Coast Breakfast to take care of his mental health. Strawny took over Breakfast from his dad Mark Strachan OAM at the beginning of this year.

In November, he took a break, saying that navigating long-term mental health challenges can be a demanding journey and that it had recently taken a toll on his well-being. He says “As the host of the “Mental Health Matters” podcast, I recognise the importance of prioritising my own mental health. Therefore, I want to inform you that I’m taking an extended break from the Triple M Breakfast Show to focus on regaining control of my well-being.”

“I deeply appreciate the support from my colleagues at Triple M and everyone who has been there for me during this challenging period. Your support means a lot to me, and I’m genuinely thankful. I’ll be back soon.”
