Townsville ARN radio stations get a line up revamp

The two ARN radio stations in Townsville, Power100 and Star 106.3 have done some reshuffling of the deckchairs with both stations getting a new breakfast show and line ups more reflective of their target audiences. (Source: Radioinfo)

Power100‘s breakfast duo Archie and Donny have switched stations to Star 106.3 and commence at 530am next Monday March 3. Current breakfast host Dannii (Danielle McMurrich) is moving to mornings with a live DJ mix in the studio at midday.

At Power100, Wildy (Darren ‘Wildy’ Burgess) moves onto breakfast there. He’s been with the station since 1999, when it was Sea FM and before it rebranded from Zinc.

Super Radio Network Departures

Mike Byrne has left the Super Radio Network. He was the Network Content Director a role he took on in January this year.

GfK Radio Ratings Canberra Survey 1, 2026

In the first GfK Canberra Survey for 2026, MIX 106.3 was once again the top rating station with a share of 22.8% (+0.6). Next came Hit 104.7 with 13.3% (-0.6) closely followed by ABC Canberra with 13.1% (+1.3). In fourth place was 2CA with 7.7% (+3.4). ABC Canberra was No 1 in breakfast (+4.7). 2RN dropped 8.3% in breakfast. ABC Canberra were also up 10.6% in evening.

ABC Radio Overnight Changes

On Easter Saturday April 4, ABC Radio Overnights presenter Michael Pavlich made an announcement concerning the future of the ABC overnights program.
