Trevor Jackson back on breakfast

Trevor Jackson has returned to the ABC after eight years away as the host of Gold Coast Breakfast in 2026. Nicole Dyer moves to the morning program to replace Sarah Cumming who left the role for South Australia in late 2025.

Nicole’s first mornings program will be on Thursday January 29 and then Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 11am.

The ABC Gold Coast local line-up for 2026, on air from February 2, will be Trevor from 5am – 8am weekdays, Nicole, Bern Young on Drive from 3pm to 6pm and Tom Forbes for Saturday Breakfast.

Nova’s New Changes

Nova has confirmed a major national realignment of its on-air lineup. Beginning on Monday February 9, Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie will move out of Sydney Breakfast and into national Drive. Under the new structure, the Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell show will take over Breakfast, replacing the current Fitzy & Wippa and Kate Ritchie team, while Joel Creasey is expected to shift into a full-time role at Nova Perth, leaving the Sydney show.
