Triple M Newcastle’s Tanya Wilks OAM

With more than two decades as part of Newcastle’s breakfast and celebrating 40 years in the industry this year, Tanya Wilks has been awarded an OAM by the Governor General of Australia, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley, for services to broadcast media and the community.

Wilks, half of Triple M Newcastle’s Breakfast show Tanya & Steve said,

“I am hugely honoured and more than a little bit chuffed to receive this OAM. A great many people work tirelessly for others in our community and not everyone gets the recognition they so richly deserve so I’m aware of how special this is, and I shall always cherish it with pride.”
