Triple M’s Adelaide radio show ‘The Rush Hour’ axed

The Triple M Adelaide radio show The Rush Hour has been axed. Andrew Jarman, Bernie Vince and Greg Blewett have hosted the show together for several years and were reportedly told the news In September.

“It doesn’t make sense to any of us,” Greg Blewett told The Advertiser “Obviously our show was going great and we were rating really well but it’s a management decision in regards to the business. Unfortunately we’re the ones that have to pay the price.”

According to a survey conducted by GfK for Commercial Radio Australia during two periods spanning from May to August, Triple M was ranked as the most listened to radio station in Adelaide. It is understood 92.9 Triple M Perth’s ‘The Rush Hour’ with Embers & Katie will also conclude at the end of 2024.

Bernie Vince, Greg Blewett, Andrew Jarman, Andrew Embley and Katie Lamb have all been outstanding broadcasters as part of the Triple M family and we thank them for their incredible contributions,” a spokesperson for Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) said in a statement.
