Vale Jamie Dunn

Brisbane radio and TV personalityJamie Dunn has died at the age of 76. Dunn passed away at his family home at Imbil on the Sunshine Coast on March 7. Dunn, is most famous as the man (and hand) behind the popular puppet Agro. Dunn was an original member of the B105 Morning Crew alongside co-hosts Donna Lynch and Ian Skippen, when the station launched on the FM band in 1990.

Agro featured on Channel Seven’s programs Super Saturday, The Super Sunday Show and Wombat.

Dunn also had a successful radio career working at various stations including Zinc 96 on the Sunshine Coast, 4BC and 4AAA.

In his early days he worked as a musician and had a solo hit in Brisbane in 1975 with Jamie Come Home. YouTube

In the first GfK Canberra Survey for 2026, MIX 106.3 was once again the top rating station with a share of 22.8% (+0.6). Next came Hit 104.7 with 13.3% (-0.6) closely followed by ABC Canberra with 13.1% (+1.3). In fourth place was 2CA with 7.7% (+3.4). ABC Canberra was No 1 in breakfast (+4.7). 2RN dropped 8.3% in breakfast. ABC Canberra were also up 10.6% in evening.
