Hit 103.1 was the most listened to station in Townsville in the latest Xtra Insights Survey (#1/2025) with 22.6% (+3.1). Next came Triple M Townsville with 19.3% (-2.1) followed by Star 106.3 with 14.3 (+2.0), then Power 100 with 14.2% (0.0). Hit 103.1 was No 1 in all daytime sessions. Wayne Browne – a well known Australian talk radio producer – has died following a short hospital stay. He passed away on February 7.

Ellie Angel-Mobbs (pictured) has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Operations & Announcer. Tim Lee has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Creative & Announcer. Kiri Martin has been promoted to HIT Network Senior Music Director / Event Partnerships & 2DayFM Assistant Content Director.
Nova has confirmed a major national realignment of its on-air lineup. Beginning on Monday February 9, Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie will move out of Sydney Breakfast and into national Drive. Under the new structure, the Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell show will take over Breakfast, replacing the current Fitzy & Wippa and Kate Ritchie team, while Joel Creasey is expected to shift into a full-time role at Nova Perth, leaving the Sydney show.
