Angel Takes The Mic For Mornings On B105

Ellie Angel, current ACRA title holder for Best Entertainment Presenter, joins B105 Brisbane from 9am to 12noon, following news that Rohan Edwards is departing Brisbane to co-host and anchor Abbie Chatfield’s new national evening show.

Moving to afternoons is former Mornings host Brad Wood.

B105 Content Director Jack Ball says: “Ellie will bring joy to Brisbane’s mornings with the hottest music including RNB Fridays, and the city’s fiercest rivalry in The Trivia Turf War. She’s the best in the business, recently winning an ACRA for Best Entertainment Presenter in 2021, and already she’s experienced more iconic Brisbane adventures than most of us! We can’t wait for the city to listen and love her as well.”

Celebrating her 15th year on air with SCA, having worked at 2DayFM Sydney, 92.9 Perth and Hit 104.7 Canberra, Ellie said she was excited to now call Brisbane home.

“I absolutely love Brisbane. The people, the weather, the lifestyle; it ticks all the boxes. I am obsessed with exploring and finding new things to check out. I’ve ticked off footy at Suncorp, cricket at the ‘Gabba, a Rivercat pub crawl, weekend markets and river walks with the dogs! My husband and I have visited all the microbreweries, from Aether to Happy Valley and more!

“We love going to Felons and watching people on the river. I am dog-obsessed with two cavoodles, and love how pooch-friendly Brisbane is!

“I’m also looking to start playing hockey again so if there are any clubs wanting a rusty, centre forward, contact me!”

Wake up with Stav, Abby and Matt on B105 from 6am to 9am weekdays and listen to Hot Nights with Abbie Chatfield 7pm to 9pm weeknights.
