ARN Announces Daytime Changes

ARN has announced changes to its daytime programming that will roll out across Australia’s Eastern seaboard in April. The shift will see  KIIS FM presenter Gordie Waters – well known for his role as host of KIIS 1065 Sydney weekdays – taking the reins as Workday announcer at KIIS 101.1 101.1 in Melbourne starting April 5, followed by KIIS 97.3 in Brisbane from April 8.

ARN Chief Content Officer Duncan Campbell says “We’re excited to introduce Gordie to these new markets.”

“Gordie is widely regarded as one of the country’s best music jocks, and his arrival promises to bring his exceptional talent and unique style to listeners in Melbourne and Brisbane.”

With the growing trend of digital audio consumption among our audience, we recognise the opportunity to deliver engaging content that transcends geographical limitations.”

“This presents an opening for us to make strategic changes that will reinforce the KIIS brand while adapting to the evolving preferences of our listeners.”

Advances in technology enable us to deliver larger-scale promotions and events across the Eastern seabord while still delivering the local news, sport, weather and community updates that our listeners and commercial partners expect.”

This transition also means bidding farewell to KIIS 97.3’s Jess Miller, a valued member of the KIIS family.

Campbell thanked Jess for her contributions and wished her the best in her future endeavours.

We are immensely grateful for Jess Miller’s dedication and talent over the years. Her presence will be missed, and we wish her nothing but success in her future ventures.” (Story courtesy of Radio Today)
