CRA CEO Ford Ennals resigns

The CEO of industry body Commercial Radio & Audio (CRA), Ford Ennals, has announced his resignation effective today (April 15).

Ad News reports: Ennals has served as CEO for two years, during which he led the rebranding of the industry body from “Commercial Radio Australia” to “Commercial Radio & Audio”.

He oversaw the launch of ‘Radio 360’, the new industry audience measurement system which provided more robust audience listening data.

CRA represents 260 commercial radio stations across Australia, with members including Australian Radio Network (ARN), SCA, NOVA Entertainment, Nine Radio and ACE Radio Broadcasters.

CRA Board chair Ciaran Davis, said Ennals has made some great contributions during his tenure with CRA.

“We wish him well for his future role,” said Davis.

Ennals said he’s had the privilege to successfully guide the CRA through a key period of transition.

“I extend my gratitude to the CRA team and our members. I am confident that the commercial radio and audio sector is well-positioned for future growth and success,” he said.

Jo Dick, chief commercial officer, will care-take the CEO role while the board of directors searches for a new CEO.

Ennal’s next move is unknown.
