Daniel Thomas has been appointed Operations Manager/On Air Announcer of 97.3 Brisbane.
He shared on Facebook: “A massive thank you to Ali Longhurst for this amazing opportunity and I am super excited about the next step in our adventures for the 973 Family and our listeners.” Thomas has been with the station since 2014. Prior to that he was on air and MD at River 94.9 Ipswich.
Southern Cross Austereo cancels three regional breakfast shows
SCA has axed threes shows on the Triple M and Hit Network, as part of a cost cutting exercise that will see between 250 and 300 job losses within the company. (Source: Mumbrella). Among the breakfast show casualties were the Hit Network’s Bronte and Lakey breakfast show, anchored by Bronte Langbroek and Danny Lakey (pictured). The show recorded from Sea FM’s Gold Coast studio, and was simulcast across regional Queensland.
