In what could be a survey first, three Brisbane stations rated at No 1 (* people 10+). They were 4KQ, 97.3FM (both ARN stations) and Nova 106.9 all with a share of 10.2%. In our 30 years of publishing this has never occurred with three stations as co-winners! The other top rating metro stations in the GfK Survey 5 were: 2GB in Sydney (15.2%), 3AW in Melbourne (15.1%), Mix 102.3 in Adelaide (13.9%) and Mix 94.5 in Perth (13.4%). Ron Wilson will host a live and local breakfast show for Sydney on 2SM beginning on January 13. The show will be built around Wilson to replace Richard King’s Newcastle-based program that is currently heard on 2SM in the morning.
Radio personality Robbie Buck has announced his next “big move”, revealing he’s leaving ABC Radio Sydney. Buck told listeners it’s a “sad moment” but that he hopes to “pop up from time to time”.
WA broadcaster, Cliff Reeve, has announced his retirement from radio. After almost 50 years on air, Reeve made the announcement to listeners on his program, The Drive Home with Cliff on Triple M.
