Talk stations 3AW and 2GB continued their reign at No 1 in the latest GfK Radio Survey (7/2022). 3AW had a share of 13.7% (+0.3) with 2GB 11.6% (-1.2). Kiss1065 in Sydney came at a close second with 11.3% (+1.8). B105 continues at No 1 in Brisbane with 13.2% (-0.1). Wayne Browne – a well known Australian talk radio producer – has died following a short hospital stay. He passed away on February 7.
SCA has announced a series of senior national content appointments across the Hit Network. Ellie Angel-Mobbs (pictured) has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Operations & Announcer. Tim Lee has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Creative & Announcer. Kiri Martin has been promoted to HIT Network Senior Music Director / Event Partnerships & 2DayFM Assistant Content Director.
Nova has confirmed a major national realignment of its on-air lineup. Beginning on Monday February 9, Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie will move out of Sydney Breakfast and into national Drive. Under the new structure, the Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell show will take over Breakfast, replacing the current Fitzy & Wippa and Kate Ritchie team, while Joel Creasey is expected to shift into a full-time role at Nova Perth, leaving the Sydney show.
