Hit wins again in Shepparton: Xtra Insights

4 April 2023

Hit96.9 Goulburn Valley is the station listened to most in the latest Xtra Insights survey for Shepparton, Victoria. This is the first survey in the area since October 2021, and Hit96.9 Goulburn Valley was up by just 0.2 to 25.4, in front of stablemate Triple M Goulburn Valley who recorded the biggest jump of 3.3 to 23.1. ABC Shepparton is the next best with 9.0, a drop of 1.4.

SCA Shepparton General Manager, Alan Kellock says, “I am thrilled for the team here at SCA Shepparton for today’s fantastic results. The Goulburn Valley region has faced some unprecedented challenges over the last two years, and I couldn’t be prouder of our team here who came together with the community during these times.

“We also thank our business partners and loyal audiences for choosing SCA.”

Head of Content – Regional, Blair Woodcock says, “A massive congratulations to the entire Shepparton team today on their amazing regional radio survey results! Not only are we celebrating that both Hit and Triple M stations reached an incredible 61% of the radio market, but a special mention goes to Triple M for achieving its highest audience reach since 2016.

“The team’s level of community engagement in this market is also applauded for their dedication to the region during the flood disaster in late 2022, and their ‘Blanket the GV’ appeal last month. Congrats again to the entire team on this brilliant result.”

Triple M’s cumes also improved by 4,400 to 66,800, in front of Hit96.9’s 65,200.

  1. 61%? On this page it shows around 49%. Whichever way you look at it, 40-50% of people surveyed do not listen to either. Overall around 33% of people surveyed is unaccounted for too, so probably community radio or people who realise they can get their music fix from Spotify/
