New For Lake Macquarie 2HD 90.5FM

You can now listen to 2HD in Lake Macquarie on 90.5FM. 2HD has invested heavily in a new transmission facility at Belmont North to fill blackspots of their main 1143AM frequency. The frequencies are: 1143AM – Newcastle & Hunter Valley, 97.5FM – Port Stephens and 90.5FM – Lake Macquarie. 2HD has a FM translator based at Port Stephens 97.5FM, 1143am at Sandgate AND NOW 90.5FM based at Belmont.

RIP Wayne Browne

Wayne Browne – a well known Australian talk radio producer – has died following a short hospital stay. He passed away on February 7.

SCA Announces New Appointments

SCA has announced a series of senior national content appointments across the Hit Network. Ellie Angel-Mobbs (pictured) has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Operations & Announcer. Tim Lee has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Creative & Announcer. Kiri Martin has been promoted to HIT Network Senior Music Director / Event Partnerships & 2DayFM Assistant Content Director.

Nova’s New Changes

Nova has confirmed a major national realignment of its on-air lineup. Beginning on Monday February 9, Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie will move out of Sydney Breakfast and into national Drive. Under the new structure, the Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell show will take over Breakfast, replacing the current Fitzy & Wippa and Kate Ritchie team, while Joel Creasey is expected to shift into a full-time role at Nova Perth, leaving the Sydney show.
