In the latest Newcastle survey, 102.9 Triple M has rated No 1 again with 18.3% (+0.6). Next came Hit 106.9 with 14.9% ((+2.4) followed by 2JJJ with 13.7% (+2.3). 105.3 NEW FM had a share of 11% (+0.4), ABC Newcastle 9.4 (+0.5) and 2HD 6.1% (-1.7). Triple M rated No 1 in most sessions. SCA has announced a series of senior national content appointments across the Hit Network. Ellie Angel-Mobbs (pictured) has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Operations & Announcer. Tim Lee has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Creative & Announcer. Kiri Martin has been promoted to HIT Network Senior Music Director / Event Partnerships & 2DayFM Assistant Content Director.
Nova has confirmed a major national realignment of its on-air lineup. Beginning on Monday February 9, Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie will move out of Sydney Breakfast and into national Drive. Under the new structure, the Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell show will take over Breakfast, replacing the current Fitzy & Wippa and Kate Ritchie team, while Joel Creasey is expected to shift into a full-time role at Nova Perth, leaving the Sydney show.
Brisbane’s own long-standing Christian radio station 96.5, has unveiled its new name and brand identity: Rise 96.5. The station was birthed in Brisbane on the FM dial almost 30 years ago. (on air team pictured above)
