In the latest GfK radio survey for Newcastle, 102.9 Triple M was the top rating station with a share of 20.3% (-2.1). They were followed by Hit 106.9 with 15.4% (+1.5). John Summerton has died after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the first General Manager at 2 Double 0 in Wollongong (now i98FM), and of Power FM /2ST Nowra for 23 years before his retirement in 2013. Summerton spent nearly 50 years in radio including on air roles at 2WL Wollongong and programming and on air roles at 2CH in Sydney.
103.1 Power FM Ballarat was the most listened to station in the Xtra Insights Ballarat survey with 27.3 % (-0.8). Next came 3BA 102.3 FM with 21.3 (+0.1). Triple J came next with 9.3% then ABC Ballarat 6.7%.
