Sean Brown Moves To Newcastle’s HIT 106.9 As New Morning Announcer

SCA today announced that Sean Brown will move from Hobart’s 100.9 to Newcastle’s Hit 106.9 in the newly created role of Mornings Announcer and Operations Assistant.

With four years’ experience in the industry, Sean attended Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) in 2017 while beginning his career as a Digital Producer for The Kyle and Jackie O Show. After moving into casual announcing roles across Sydney, South Australia and most recently Hobart, Sean now finds his new home in Newcastle.

“I’ve absolutely loved my time at Hit Hobart but I am ready for my next challenge. Newcastle is such a beautiful place, I’m looking forward to the warmer weather and I’m very excited to call it my new home!” said Sean.

SCA Group Content Director, Jase Allen, said: “Sean is someone that possesses outstanding music passion, a great turn of phrase and will bring an incredible amount of vibe, talent and good times to the Newcastle.”

You can hear Sean on Newcastle’s Hit 106.9 after Nick, Jess and Ducko from 9am weekdays.
