The Super Radio Network owned by Bill Caralis has purchased 8HA and 96.9 SUN FM Alice Springs (Alice Springs Commercial Broadcasters Pty Ltd) as well as obtaining a 49% share in the Queensland stations 4KZ/4AM/4AY/Kool FM/KIK FM (NQ Radio). It’s believed they were sold for $4 + million. This will bring the total number of stations owned by the Broadcast Operations Group (branded as Super Radio Network) to about 50 radio stations.
Former radio colleagues are paying tribute to industry veteran Ric Ditchburn (born Richard Ditchburn) after his recent death in Geelong. Ric is best known for his on air work at Magic 1278 Melbourne and in his early radio days at 3GL Geelong.
