THE EDGE Boosts Creative and Commercial Leadership Team With Marty Doyle and Andy Walsh

THE EDGE, Sydney’s #1 commercial DAB+ hip hop and RnB station, continues levelling up with the appointment of pedigreed youth operators to its leadership team – Marty Doyle joins as Head of Content and Andy Walsh has been appointed Head of Commercial Strategy.

Of the appointments, Emily Copeland, General Manager of THE EDGE said, “Both Marty and Andy have a strong track record of growing communities around brands through music-led content and experiences. The passion they both have for music and audio content, and their abilities to break the mould creatively, will be invaluable as we grow THE EDGE. I am very excited to welcome them to the team.”

Wayne Browne – a well known Australian talk radio producer – has died following a short hospital stay. He passed away on February 7.

SCA Announces New Appointments

SCA has announced a series of senior national content appointments across the Hit Network. Ellie Angel-Mobbs (pictured) has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Operations & Announcer. Tim Lee has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Creative & Announcer. Kiri Martin has been promoted to HIT Network Senior Music Director / Event Partnerships & 2DayFM Assistant Content Director.

Nova’s New Changes

Nova has confirmed a major national realignment of its on-air lineup. Beginning on Monday February 9, Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie will move out of Sydney Breakfast and into national Drive. Under the new structure, the Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell show will take over Breakfast, replacing the current Fitzy & Wippa and Kate Ritchie team, while Joel Creasey is expected to shift into a full-time role at Nova Perth, leaving the Sydney show.
