Triple M Mid North Coast’s Alex Strachan taking a mental health break

Alex ‘Strawney’ Strachan, who took over Triple M Mid North Coast‘s Breakfast show from his father Mark Strachan OAM at the start of this year, is taking a break from radio to focus on his mental health.

He said in a statement:

“Navigating long-term mental health challenges can be a demanding journey, and recently, it has taken a toll on my well-being. As the host of the “Mental Health Matters” podcast, I recognise the importance of prioritising my own mental health. Therefore, I want to inform you that I’m taking an extended break from the Triple M Breakfast Show to focus on regaining control of my well-being.

I deeply appreciate the support from my colleagues at Triple M and everyone who has been there for me during this challenging period. Your support means a lot to me, and I’m genuinely thankful. I’ll be back soon.”
