NEWFM Newcastle has announced : “Our much loved ex-announcer and colleague, Bob Peters passed away following a long health battle. Bob worked on NEWFM from 2013-2016 and became a favourite with listeners. He was also the voice of Channel 9, Foxtel and many other companies over the years .. becoming one of the most recognised voices in Australia.”

Bob is survived by his four children Jesse, Bianca, Jayden and Ashlee.

His son Jesse scared on the Radio Rubber Room: “Yesterday we lost the most loving father, brother, nonno and friend. He was a survivor who fought to the very end, and now is at peace. We would like to invite you to the celebration of the life of Robert Pizzingrilli, aka Bob Peters, aka Super Dad. The funeral will be held at Mackay Family Funerals, Ourimbah, on Friday 24th at 1pm. The wake will follow at the Tall Timbers Hotel.”
